Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant. If you have ever enjoyed the gift of a rose, a walk by a field of lavender, or the smell of fresh-cut mint, you have experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils. In addition to giving plants their distinctive smells, essential oils provide plants with protection against predators and disease and play a role in plant pollination.
Try this at home: Squeeze the peel of a ripe orange. The fragrant residue on your hand is full of essential oils.
In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and being beautifully fragrant to people, essential oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits. Modern scientific study and trends towards more holistic approaches to wellness are driving a revival and new discovery of essential oil health applications

Using Essential Oils with our children:
doTERRA essential oils are safe and gentle enough to use on newborns and babies, but some things to keep in mind:
- Always dilute the essential oil in a carrier oil (such as fractionated coconut oil or olive oil) before using it on your baby. Babies and for children under 3 years old, add 1-2 drops of essential oil to 1-2 tablespoons of carrier oil.
- Take care not to get the oil on the babies hands because they may rub their eyes.
- If an essential oil accidentally gets into a baby’s eye, dilute with a vegetable oil, such as olive oil or fractionated coconut oil, NOT with water as it drives the oil deeper.
- The best oils for newborns through 3 months are Roman chamomile, lavender, Digest Zen, lemon, peppermint and wild orange.
- Use only diluted essential oils in the bath. Babies have very sensitive skin.
- Only use Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oils on your baby’s sensitive skin.
Anxiety: If the baby is anxious, use Roman chamomile in the bath or for the massage.
Calming/ Sleep: To help a baby sleep, use lavender in the bath or one drop of the oil on each foot.

My family has been battling scabies for almost a year now. Neither conventional medicine or home remedies (sulfer) has cured us. do you have any suggestions?

Suggested protocols:
Mix equal parts DDR Prime and Deep Blue® Rub topically to area 3-4 times daily. For increased help take 2 DDR Prime caplets 2 times daily.
Apply Melaleuca or Purify topically to the affected area. This is easiest to do by using a spray bottle or putting a spray cap directly on an oil bottle and spraying 2 or 3 times per day. The skin clears typically in a few days.
For problem areas that will not heal add a few drops of Oregano to the oil spray.
To prevent the spreading of scabies to other folks cleanse the areas typically touched with On Guard by making a spray of On Guard and water (1-2 drops On Guard for each ounce of water) and/or using On Guard foaming cleanser.
