If you are looking for ideas for your baby shower theme or just love seeing party pics and taking in inspiration for future events, my sister and I (with the help of a few of her close friends) hosted a beautiful, feminine floral baby shower at Harvest restaurant in Florida with the theme “Oh Girl!” for our other sister a few months back. Instead of the always popular Oh baby or Oh boy, we did Oh Girl! with lots of floral accents.
My sisters friend is a graphic designer and created custom invites for our party but here is a similar option that would go well with this theme:
We did the string / belly game where everyone tries to decide how big the mom-to-be’s bump has grown using a string and the person with their string closest to matching moms actual width of her stomach with a string around it, wins!
We also did “he said, she said” for everyone to test just how well they know the expecting mom and dad!
A prizes table was set up with fresh flowers and gifts to choose from for the winners of the games with a tribute to both the mommy-to-be and expecting dads mothers who passed away with framed photos of them pregnant.
Another project my sister’s friend custom made for our party were tags to go on mini champagne bottles, as the favor, that said Oh Girl! on one side and on the other side…pop it when she pops!

Now, onto the Decor! Fresh flowers including white hydrangea and pink roses with babies breath and green leaves, were arranged in various shaped clear vases atop intertwined greenery branches, placed along a few white net runners (lace could even work), with rose gold mercury glass votive candles (similar here)!
Advice cards (like these), a custom menu, and the favors were at each guests place setting.
We had brunch and mimosas and plenty of mingling and photo taking with the mom-to-be aka my sister….
The gift table was overflowing with thoughtful and useful gifts and books for baby girl…(similar sign here).
All and all, it was a wonderful gathering of friends and family in celebration of our newest family member! It was a pleasure to plan and it all came together perfectly.
